The Kentucky Broadcasters Association is now accepting nominations for the following Board of Directors seats: Chairman-Elect, Radio Districts 1, 3, 5 & 7, Television-Lexington, Television-Other Markets, Public Television and Associate Director. Please see the notes below for information and eligibility.

Active members of the Kentucky Broadcasters Association, in good standing, are qualified to nominate and subsequently vote in their respective district. Self nominations are permitted.

Nominations will be accepted until 11:59pm on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. All qualifying nominees will appear on respective election ballots beginning August 19, 2021.  The winner shall serve a 2-year term 2022 & 2023.

RADIO-DISTRICT 1

Ballard, Caldwell, Calloway, Carlisle, Fulton, Crittenden, Lyon, Trigg, Marshall, Graves, McCracken, Hickman, Livingston

Current Director: Jim Freeland

Jim is serving his second 2-year term and is not eligible for reelection.

RADIO-DISTRICT 3

Jefferson County

Current Director: Earl Jones

Earl is serving his second 2-year term and is not eligible for reelection.

RADIO-DISTRICT 5

Boone, Kenton, Campbell, Pendleton, Grant, Gallatin, Trimble, Carroll, Henry, Oldham, Shelby, Owen, Franklin, Scott, Anderson, Woodford, Fayette

Current Director: Lynn Martin

Lynn is serving his second 2-year term and is not eligible for reelection.

RADIO-DISTRICT 7

Bracken, Harrison, Bourbon, Mason, Robertson, Nicholas, Fleming, Bath, Montgomery, Powell, Wolfe, Menifee, Rowan, Lewis, Greenup Boyd, Carter, Elliott, Morgan, Lawrence

Current Director: Ethan Moore

Ethan was appointed to fill the seat of Tom McMakin in 2021 and is eligible for election.

TELEVISION-LEXINGTON

Current Director - Jeff Anderson, WKYT

Jeff was appointed to fill Chris Mossman's seat in 2019 and is serving his first 2-year term.  He is eligible for reelection.

TELEVISION-OTHER MARKETS

Current Director - Julie Milam, WNKY

Julie was appointed to fill Brad Odil's seat in 2019 and is serving her first 2-year term.  She is eligible for reelection.

PUBLIC TELEVISION

Current Director - Shea Hopkins

Shea was appointed to fill Julie Schmidt's seat in 2019 and is serving her first 2-year term.  She is eligible for reelection.

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

Current Director - Barry Williams

Barry is serving his second 2-year term and is not eligible for reelection.

Per KBA by-laws, the 14-day nomination window will remain open until 11:59pm on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. The 14-day voting period will begin on Thursday, August 19, 2021.
